It’s the summer solstice today here in Ireland and it’s the longest day of the year where the sun is at its highest point!
Traditionally it has been a time of celebration and acknowledging new beginnings.
The sun is at the peak of its power, and it has been an optimal time to celebrate life and vitality and set intentions around how you want to show up in the world.
It is a time to reflect upon all that has been good over the past year and look towards new opportunity and growth.
I was at the Hill of Tara here in Ireland over the weekend and I found it so lovely to connect with nature and other people wanting to be outdoors and acknowledge the cycles of the seasons!
One of the frequent conversations I had was about the ever increasing divergence of opinions about how we will transition through this pandemic. It seems more important than ever now to seek to understand and accept each other’s points of view and beliefs. To realise we are on our own, yet interconnected path, and perhaps look to what we have in common to find more ease in our own lives.
This is a wonderful time to nurture our potential as you would nurture a tiny seedling and let your creative energy express itself fully.
It is an excellent time to look forward into the coming months and set some intentions, not just goals and what you want to achieve, but really how do you want to show up in the world in the next few months in your own way.
Take some time today to get out into nature if you can, journal your intentions for you and your wider collective and enjoy where you are at, celebrate all that has been good over the past year and how you’d like your life and work to evolve over the next year.
We can move beyond our separateness if we can connect in to ourselves and what we have in common. Whilst there is still a lot of fear and difference of opinions, by focusing on our own growth, we can continue to move forward and act with courage by doing so.
What intentions are you making for yourself over the next 6 months? What would you like to cultivate in your community and in the greater collective?
Start from where you are at today and the support and connection will follow!
